Matrikel1 gathers ambitious individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset. Our community is for creators and experienced entrepreneurs who are at the edge of their field. Our mission is simple: we want to create a coworking community for our members to thrive in.
Across the canal from Christiansborg Palace, the seat of Danish government, Matrikel1 is perfectly located on the historic Højbro Plads square and just a stone’s throw away from Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets.
While we keep in line with the architecture of this historic building, we also challenge the space by adding splashes of stark, contrasting colour and modern design elements.
An office is not just an office. It's a place where we spend a lot of time. And that time should be effective, productive and importantly, comfortable and inspirational.

We could spend ages telling you about all the great stuff, but our two recent awards say it all. Our sister sites MESH in Oslo and Founders House in Copenhagen won Best Co-working Space in the Nordics in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
